NAMES OF GOD
PRAISE THE LORD,
PRAISE THE LORD, IN JESUS NAME,
We praise Thy name ELOHIM (GOD). Gen 1: 1
We praise thy majestic name that created heaven and Earth. Thou commanded light. And there was light. Thou separated light from darkness. Thou called light Day, darkness Night. And there was the evening and morning of the first day.
Thou made firmament to separate water from above. Thou called the firmament Heaven. And there was the evening and morning of the second day.
Thou commanded the water under the Heaven to gather at one place, called Seas. Thou commanded the dry land to appear. Thou called the dry land Earth. And Thou said, Let the Earth bring forth grass, herb yielding seed, fruit tree yielding fruits of its kind, whose seed is in itself after its kind. And it was so. And there was the evening and morning of the third day.
Thou commanded lights in the firmament (Heaven) to divide Day from Night, and give light upon the Earth. Thou created signs for seasons, signs for Days, and signs for years. Thou created great light to rule the Day, and lesser light to rule the Night. And there was the evening and morning of the fourth day.
Thou said, Let the waters bring forth abundant moving creatures that hath life and fowl that fly above the Earth. Thou created whales and living creatures that moveth in waters after its kind, and winged fowls after its kind.
Thou blessed them, saying, be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowls multiply in the Earth. And there was the evening and morning of the fifth day.
And Thou said, let the Earth bring forth living creatures of his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the Earth after his kind.
And Thou made man after Thy image, after Thy likeness. Thou gave man dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the Earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the Earth.
So Thou created man in Thy own image, in Thy image created he him; male and female created he them.
Thou blessed and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the Earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the Earth.
And Thou gave man every herb bearing seed upon the face of all the Earth, and every tree, and fruit that yield seed, to be food for man.
And Thou gave green herb to be food for every beast of the Earth, every fowl of the air, and every thing that creepeth upon the Earth, where there is life. And there was the evening and morning of the sixth day.
Thus the heavens and Earth were finished, and all the host of them. Thou ended Thy work and rested on the seventh day. Thou blessed the seventh day and sanctified it: because Thou rested from all Thy work which Thou had made.
PRAISE THE LORD,
We praise Thy name YAHWEH (LORD GOD, JEHOVAH). Gen 2: 4
Thou made mist from the Earth and watered the face of the ground. Thou formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostril a breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Thou planted a garden eastward in Eden; there Thou put the man whom Thou had formed, to dress it and keep it.
Thou made every tree that is pleasant to the sight to grow, and good for food. The Tree of Life was also in the midst of the garden, and the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil.
A river went out of Eden to water the garden, and parted and became four rivers. They were named Pison, Gihon, Hiddekel, and Euphrates.
Thou said to man, of every tree of the garden, thou mayest freely eat: But the tree of Knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Out of the ground Thou formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them to Adam to see and call: and whatsoever Adam called, that was the name.
Thou caused deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: Thou took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof. Thou made him a woman, and brought her unto the man. Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
The serpent tempted and tricked the woman to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil in the midst of the garden, and shared it with the man (Adam). Thou punished Adam, woman (Eve), and the serpent.
PRAISE THE LORD,
We praise Thy name EL ELYON (THE MOST HIGH GOD). Gen 14: 18
Thou received and blessed Melchizedeck, king of Salem. He was the priest of THE MOST HIGH GOD. He blessed Abram of THE MOST HIGH GOD. Thou protected and saved Abram from his enemies.
PRAISE THE LORD,
We praise Thy name ADONAI (LORD GOD). Gen 15: 2
Thou blessed Abram. Thou gave seed to his old wife. Thou promised to multiply Abram’s offspring to be as many as the number of stars. Thou promised to make Abram to be a father of many nations.
PRAISE THE LORD,
We praise Thy name EL SHADDAI (LORD GOD ALMIGHTY). Gen 17: 1
Thou is THE ALMIGHTY ONE. Thou blessed and had Abram walked before Thee at the age of 99 years old. Thou made a covenant with Abram and multiplied his seed exceedingly. Thou changed Abram's name to Abraham, made him exceedingly fruitful, and a father of many nations. Thou made many kings come out of Abraham.
PRAISE THE LORD,
We praise Thy name EL OLAM (THE EVERLASTING GOD). Gen 21: 33
Abraham planted a grove (tamarisk tree) in Beer-she-ba and called there on the name of THE LORD, THE EVERLASTING GOD. Thou tempted Abraham. Thou said to Abraham to take his only son Isaac as a burnt offering sacrifice. Abraham obeyed.
The angel of THE LORD called unto him out of heaven, said, “LAY NOT THY HAND UPON THE LAD, NEITHER DO THOU ANY THING UPON HIM: FOR NOW I KNOW THAT THOU FEAREST GOD, SEEING THOU HAST NOT WITHHELD THY SON THINE ONLY SON FROM ME.” Gen 22: 12
And Thou gave Abraham a ram as a burnt sacrifice instead. And Abraham called the name of that place JEHOVAH-JIREH. Gen 22: 14
PRAISE THE LORD,
We praise Thy name JEHOVAH JIREH. (THE LORD WILL PROVIDE). Gen 22: 14
The angel of THE LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time. And said, “BY MYSELF HAVE I SWORN, SAITH THE LORD, FOR BECAUSE THOU HAST DONE THIS THING, AND HAST NOT WITHHELD THY SON, THINE ONLY SON:
THAT IN BLESSING I WILL BLESS THEE, AND IN MULTIPLYING I WILL MULTIPLY THY SEED AS THE STAR OF HEAVEN, AND AS THE SAND WHICH IS UPON THE SEASHORE; AND THY SEED SHALL POSSESS THE GATE OF HIS ENEMY;
AND IN THY SEED SHALL ALL THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED; BECAUSE THOU HAST OBEYED MY VOICE.” Gen 22: 15 - 18

We praise Thy name JEHOVAH RAPHA (THE LORD WHO HEALS YOU). Ex 15: 26
And THE LORD said, “IF THOU WILL DILIGENTLY HEARKEN TO THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD, AND WILT DO THAT WHICH IS RIGHT IN HIS SIGHT, AND WILT GIVE EAR TO HIS COMMANDMENTS, AND KEEP ALL HIS STATUTES, I WILL PUT NONE OF THESE DISEASES UPON THEE, WHICH I HAVE BROUGHT UPON THE EGYPTIANS: FOR I AM THE LORD THAT HEALETH THEE.” Ex 15: 26
PRAISE THE LORD,
We praise Thy name JEHOVAH NISSI (THE LORD IS MY BANNER). Ex 17: 15
THE LORD is our Banner. He is our banner and victory. He gives us hope and focus, and is the one who wins our battles.
For Moses said, “BECAUSE THE LORD HATH SWORN THAT THE LORD WILL HAVE WAR WITH THE AMALEK FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION.” Ex 17: 16
We praise Thy name, for Thou is our victory.
PRAISE THE LORD,
We praise Thy name EL QANNA (JEALOUS GOD). Ex 20: 5
Thy jealousy is holy and loving without insecure manipulation or control. Thou longs for us to put Thee first, for Thou knows that this is best for us.
For Thy words, “THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME.
THOU SHALT NOT TAKE THE NAME OF THE LORD THY GOD IN VAIN; FOR THE LORD WILL NOT HOLD HIM GUILTLESS THAT TAKETH HIS NAME IN VAIN”

PRAISE THE LORD,
We praise Thy name JEHOVAH MEKODDISHKEM (THE LORD WHO SANCTIFIES YOU). Ex 31: 13
We praise Thee for Thy sanctification that makes Thy children and saints holy because Thou is holy. We praise Thee for setting us apart. Because we believe. So we are worthy of Thy presence. And we know Thou love us.
We praise Thee for Thy WORDS to Moses saying “SPEAK THOU ALSO UNTO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, SAYING, VERILY MY SABBATHS YE SHALL KEEP: FOR IT IS A SIGN BETWEEN ME AND YOU THROUGHOUT YOUR GENERATIONS; THAT YE MAY KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD THAT DOTH SANCTIFY YOU.” Ex 31: 13
PRAISE THE LORD,
We praise Thy name JEHOVAH SHALOM (THE LORD IS PEACE). Judg 6: 24
We praise Thee for peace, comfort, and strength. Because THE LORD IS PEACE. And THE LORD said unto him (Gideon), “PEACE BE UNTO THEE; FEAR NOT: THOU SHALL NOT DIE.” Then Gideon built an altar there unto THE LORD, and called it JEHOVAH SHALOM: Judg 6: 24
PRAISE THE LORD,
We praise Thy name JEHOVAH SABAOTH (THE LORD OF HOSTS). 1 Sam 1: 3
We praise Thee for an army of angels going out to war on our behalf. Thou is THE LORD OF ARMIES, THE LORD OF HOSTS. Thou reigns over the host of heaven. Thou is always there to defend us, fight our battles, and win our wars. There is no enemy Thou cannot defeat.
PRAISE THE LORD,
We praise Thy name JEHOVAH RAAH (THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD). Ps 23: 1
Thou is our shepherd. Thou feed us with heavenly food. Thou be friended us and provides us extravagant nourishment, protection, and rest for our weary bodies and souls.
“THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD; I SHALL NOT WANT.
HE MAKETH ME TO LIE DOWN IN GREEN PASTURES: HE LEADETH ME BESIDE THE STILL WATERS.
HE RESTORETH MY SOUL: HE LEADETH ME IN THE PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR HIS NAME’S SAKE.
YEA, THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH, I WILL FEAR NO EVIL: FOR THOU ART WITH ME; THY ROD AND THY STAFF THEY COMFORT ME.
THOU PREPAREST A TABLE BEFORE ME IN THE PRESENCE OF MY ENEMIES: THOU ANOINTEST MY HEAD WITH OIL; MY CUP RUNNETH OVER.
SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY SHALL FOLLOW ME ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE: AND I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOR EVER.” Ps 23: 1- 6

We praise Thy name JEHOVAH TSIDKENU (THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS). Jer 23: 6, 33:16
We praise Thee for Thy justice, rightness, righteousness, deliverance, victory, and prosperity. We praise THE LORD WHO IS OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. Thou stands for us, provides us righteousness, justice, victory, and prosperity.
PRAISE THE LORD,
We praise Thy name JEHOVAH SHAMMAH (THE LORD IS THERE). Ezek 48: 35
We praise Thee for not forsaking us, and always be there for us in the past, present, and future. We praise Thee for Thy comfort by letting us know that Thou is always there. We praise Thee for Thy name “THE LORD IS THERE”.
PRAISE THE LORD,
PRAISE THE LORD Thou has many names. We praise Thee for all Thy names that we know and Thy names that we do not know. We praise Thee for letting Thy saints know Thy names. For all Thy names are light to our knowledge and wisdom and manna to our spirit that make us grow and be strong in Thee.
