We give because we love God. This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. (1 John 3: 16-18).

We know that God is able to meet all of our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians. 4:19). And whatever we do, in word or deed, we do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him (Colossians 3:17). In everything Jesus did, He showed us that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (Acts 20:35)
